Come join your fellow special education colleagues as we learn about the IEP referral process.  This discussion will include information on collaborative teams and academic interventions that work in the general education settings (research based interventions), as well as what happens when those interventions are no longer working or not rigorous enough to close the gaps.  From there, various IEP scenarios will be presented to role play various options, issues and solutions.  When a student has been identified for needing specialized instruction to make progress through an IEP, LRE will be addressed with an emphasis on inclusion with some specific case examples.  Embedded throughout the workshop, there will be a review of Special Education Procedures along with strategies and problem solving various IEP situations and celebrations.

The cost to attend this training is $75/person and lunch will be provided.  Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Each participant will receive 5.5 PD hours upon completion of the training.
