Come join your fellow special education and regular education colleagues as we learn about the IEP referral process.  This discussion will include information on collaborative teams and academic interventions that work in the regular education setting, as well as what happens when those interventions are no longer working or not rigorous enough to close the gaps.  From there, a mock IEP meeting will take place to role play various scenarios and issues.  When a student has an IEP and individualized education begins we will explore best practices for students with special needs both in the regular education classroom and the special education classroom.  Least Restrictive Environments will be addressed with an emphasis on inclusion with some specific case examples.

The cost to attend this training is $75/person and lunch will be provided.  Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Each participant will receive 5.5 PD hours upon completion of the training.
