During this two-day session district team members will become familiar with materials they can use in their school or district to help educators learn and students achieve with the Common Core State Standards in Math.

Participants will experience:

1. An overview of the Common Core State Standards for Math (CCSSM)
2. A look at the Mathematical Practices
3. A look at the content standards across grade levels
4. A deeper look into the content standards through the Progressions Documents
5. Changes needed in instruction
6. Break-out grade level sessions (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) with sample lesson

All participants need to bring a paper copy of the Math Common Core Standards and glossary. High School participants should also bring a copy of Appendix A. Common Core standards are a team event -- bring your colleagues for maximum benefit!
