Responsibilities: | The parent educator/coordinator will cooperate in planning and evaluating parent education and assisting in the individual child find needs for children ages 0-5. Performance responsibilities (major responsibilities, but not limited to? 1.Assist in preparation and dissemination of appropriate public and client information. 2. Recruit and establish written and personal relationships with prospective clients. 3.Assess cooperatively with client needs and service plan. 4.Conduct personal home and hospital visits. 5.Conduct playgroups, discussion groups, workshops and seminars. 6.Utilize referral network for child development delay, health issue, family dysfunction. 7.Assist in gathering of data documentation and ideas for proposal consideration. 8.Assist in resource development and agency communication. |
Qualifications: | Bachelor's Degree or Highly Qualified under NCLB guidelines. Experience working with families in the community. Possess knowledge of child development. Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the tasks as listed. Such alternatives to the aptitude for performing the tasks as listed. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. |
