[Area V Reg Supts] First Year Principal Mentoring Program

Good Afternoon,
I want to update you on the IARSS Hub First Year Principal Mentoring
Program.  With everything districts are facing at this point, this new
requirement is probably not at the forefront of priorities.  That being
said, IARSS through DuPage ROE's leadership, has applied for the grant to
provide mentoring for all first year principals in the state.   ROE #50 is
the HUB for Area 5.  We need to ramp up planning so when/if it is funded,
we can be ready to asap.   So, what do I need from you?

1.  I will be sending you some information to forward to your districts
regarding this program as soon as things are finalized.
2.  P*lease send me the number of first year principals in your ROE region
by Thursday morning.*
3.  Each ROE will hire the mentors for their region.
4.  More at our next meeting, but mentors will be trained beginning in
December, most likely.
5.  Pay for mentors is $2,000 plus any travel.  That is for 30 hours of
mentoring I believe - but don't hold me to it.

*I really need from you a count of your first year principals.  This is not
a commitment by the districts to use your ROE as the provider, however, it
is our hope they will IF we get the grant.  Can I have that count by
Thursday morning.*
