Kolibri is an open-source educational platform specially designed to provide offline access to a wide range of quality, openly licensed educational contents in low-resource contexts like rural schools, refugee camps, orphanages, and also in non-formal school programs.

Santa downloaded the *.pex file on his Linux laptop, made it executable and ran it from the download location with ./kolibri-v0.11.0.pex start

This generated quite a bit of activity, ultimately revealing the following:

INFO     Sqlite database Vacuum finished.
INFO     Running 'kolibri start' as daemon (system service)
INFO     Kolibri running on:

	http://192.168.1.8:8080/
	http://127.0.0.1:8080/

A nice little localhost webserver running on port 8080.  Just for fun, Santa set up an admin user account and then imported a content channel to see how things worked. Kolibri could have merit as an in-house learning studio.

Another goodie offered by the folks at Learning Equality is the KA Lite distribution:
